Located in the beautiful, tranquil settlement of Darwin. Look out for dolphins in the harbour, hares in the gorse bushes, and a rich variety of birds along the shoreline and ponds. Falklands Flightless Steamer Duck. Oyster Catchers, Night Heron, Ruddy Headed Geese, Upland Geese, Turkey Vultures, Southern Giant Petrel and Red backed Hawk, Long Tailed Meadowlark, Black Chinned Siskins, to name a few. Flora includes, Pale Maiden, Vanilla Daisy, Scurvygrass, Diddle-dee, Dog Orchid, Field Mouse-ear and many more.

Enjoy fine farmhouse cooking with home grown vegetables and local meat and fish.  Also home baking with delicious smoko treats. 

A no-smoking policy is applied throughout the house.

Facilities

Darwin House is a modern farmhouse with 6 bedrooms available for guests, and a choice of two double, one twin, one triple room  (3 singles beds) and two rooms that can be made as either a twin or a superking size. All rooms are en suite.

There is a large and very comfortable lounge with TV, good selection of books and board games, a sunny conservatory with stunning views across the harbour to Mount Usborne, a pleasant dining room and a cosy, well-stocked bar.
